If I was already accepted to a school before my scheduled alumni interview, would it be corteous to cancel and not waste the interviewer's time, or should I use the opprotunity to talk about the school anyway?

Thanks.

Depends. Are you definitely going? (Was the acceptance EA or ED?) If you're not definitely going, and you feel you'd like more info, by all means take advantage of the interviewer as a source for more info.

The interviewer is probably very busy so don't go to take care of her. If you need info and want to chat about the school by all means go. Do what you need. It will not look bad at all.

It would be courteous to let the interviewer know ahead of time that you have been accepted. Then an informed decision can be made. You are correct that it could otherwise be awkward.

Any implications for merit aid? I know some of my d's interviews played a part in the amount of awards (Hartwick, Randolph-Macon, Quinnipiac)
