Interview anyone?

in a few days, I will be going to JoHo interview.

This will be my first interview.

Any advise on what to expect...haha...a bit nervous.

Thanx.

Just be yourself. Chances are you will get a senior student interviewing you. The beginning of the interview constists of he/she asking questions about you and your interests. Be ready for questions such as "What made you chose Hopkins?", and "What do you look forward to by comming here?" At the end of the interview ask a few questions about their experiences at Hopkins. Ask more questions that you feel are appropriate, but don't drag the interview longer than it should be.

Thanks Javis. I am having an Alumni/ae Interview. But, it should be something new. I am looking forward to it.

I had mine last month and it was actually quite fun. We ended up talking about Tufts and Columbia of all places and how my interviewer wanted me to apply there as well.

haha...wow.

Seldom do you find an interviewer who encourages you to apply to other places. I am somewhat cautious about mentioning the aspect that I applied to other places to my interviewer.

I shall post here on how it goes.

Maybe it won't be so bad afterall...

o0o...good luck with the interview, i had an interview by a senior there, and it was pretty relaxing. i think u shuold be urself and not be too nervous. also, they asked me really weird questions like "if u were stranded on an island what would u take with you" and what ECs i liked best, what were they and things. so....goodluck ^_^

I had an interview.. about a month ago. We had one in starbucks, and was very casual. We ended up talking about UVA as well, and how it's not for me if I'm not up for living in rural, not-city-like places. Just be prepared to ask questions like what's your ECs.. passions.. why you want to go to JHU.. that kinda things. She told me it's the typical question to ask.

The Alumni I spoke with told me how he picked up girls when JHU was an all boys school and told me that I should consider doing a sport of some sort if I got in

What's wrong with going overtime? The longer the duration of the interview, the more it shows that the interviewer and the interviewee enjoyed the session.. right? One of my college interviews lasted for an hour and half, though it was primarily due to the interviewer sharing his college experiences.

same here!
