interview at cafe

This. Don't laugh. <a href="http://www.archivist.f2s.com/bsu/EtonSuit.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.archivist.f2s.com/bsu/EtonSuit.htm</a> Etons are the coolest clothing ever made for boys. :D

aww thats cute
haha <-- not in a mocking way

I think that prep schools should totally make that the boys' uniform.

haha it would be so cute.
i heard that at exeter [was it this school?], there was a vote whether or not the dress code should be taken away. i heard most of the girls voted no...the reason being "who doesnt love a guy in shirts and ties?"

lols :D

I had at interview w/t Lawrenceville at Barnes & Noble the other day and I just wore jeans and a sweater. My interviewer was dressed pretty casually too.

Um...pretty? No! I wouldn't wear those "eton suits" unless i really had to. The only reason that you can honestly say that you like them is because you wouldn't have to wear them. In fact, the uniform for girls at most boarding schools is much less strict than the boys'.

how was the interviewer dresses?

haha love those 'bum-freezer' jackets- cute :D

If I were a boy, I promise that I would wear them, tommeister. I do find it unfair that boys are often stuck with very dressy clothes, and girls can where practically whatever they please. I like the English uniforms particularly, and you will find that girls are certainly not exempt from a strict dress code. Has you seen A Little Princess? When I was twelve, I was obsessed with getting the dress in that movie. I got something similar that I still wear sometimes, but I would still love to have an exact copy of one of those dresses. (If you haven't seen the movie, they're Victorian century green pinafore dresses.)

you think that was bad? I had to wear kilts to school..

Actually those eton suits don't look too bad...

I would love to wear those Eton suits. In fact, I would wear it with a cane, a tophat, and a monocle any day. :D

lol. ^^ .

Excellent, ChaosTheory and Jonathan. They aren't that bad, I don't think. Besides, the modern boys of Eton still have to wear tailcoats--something quite similar.

I spent last year at a school in England where I had to wear a pretty strict uniform. After that I've had my fill of uniforms, really.

Uniforms do not appeal to everyone. Did you wear the grey shorts/pants, Oxford shirt, sweater/sweatervest, tie, and blazer, or did your school have something different?

That was basically my uniform back in the day...but since the school has Scottish origins, I had to wear kilts everyday, even in the windiest and coldest weather....it sucks

Don't dress well. Go with anti-war berkley gear to show them that you are an individual. 16 YR old revolutionary.Better chances that way.The adult will be to inhibited to tell admissions that you are a hippie.carry a blackberry and have your friends send obama, clinton, and edwards spam.

I could choose to be offended by the Berkeley reference, but that would be stupid. Said statement stands. :D

why?, everybody out east is dying to be in your place. the cal berk kids are pumped that mom, dad, sis are livin hte life.embrace it
