So I called my Princeton alumni today for the interview and he asked if tomorrow (Sunday) 8 pm was fine. I said sure and then he asked for my address. After I gave it he told me that what he does is go to my house and talks about Princeton.

At this point I was thinking that I have never heard of an interviewer going to the interviewee's house. The past three interviews I've had have been at their house or at a local coffee shop.

Is this usual at all? Because I thought it was extremely bizarre...

If you have a problem with it, just tell the interviewer that you don't feel comfortable having the interview at your house. Don't worry about him giving you a bad write up as a result because the interview doesn't matter.

I had one at my house for a different school. It's really not a big deal, at least it wasn't for me. If it bothers you, however, just tell the interviewer and see if you can get it switched somewhere else that's nearby and public.

actually, my princeton interviewer asked initially asked if we could do it at my house as well. I politely offered a nearby starbucks instead, which is where we ended up meeting.
