Hey everyone, this may seem like a stupid question, but I was wondering if interviews are open to all students, not just those receiving scholarships/awards etc? I am currently a junior and will hopefully be visiting USC soon. Also, anyone who has had an interview there, how did it go? Thanks and congrats to all those who have been recently selected and good luck to everyone anxiously waiting!

You can request a pre-admssion interview through the admissions office. See this link for more information:

[Admission Interviews - USC Undergraduate Admission](http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/apply/adm_interview.html/freshmen.html)

My son did do the pre-admission interview. I think it may have helped him get in, but I could also see it as being a potential negative if you don’t interview well or present yourself well.

Good Luck

My belief is that regardless of whether you interview well or not, you should still interview if you have something to prove or want to send a message. Even if you suck at interviews like I do, the very least you could do is dress, behave, and speak professionally to show them that USC is at the top of your list.

I did not interview for admission itself, but I did recently interview for explore USC (presidential). I had three interviewers, and although they probably were easy going to make me feel more welcomed, I’m gonna go on a limb and say that all USC staff’s is pretty relaxed, and that they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable discussing your potential future.

Basically an interview can’t hurt, unless you tell them that you hate the colors cardinal and gold or wear a wife beater to the interview.
