I have a college interview with a Brown alumni within the next couple of weeks. I was just wondering, where do alumni interviews typically take place? At the alumni's house, at the applicant's house, or somewhere else?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have not found the answer online anywhere. From my understanding, there is no "set" place for an interview, but I am not sure. Please help. Thanks.

mine took place at his house (for Georgetown, not brown)

starbucks seems to be the most popular

I do alumni interviewing, although not for Brown. I like to suggest to the student that we meet at a mutually convenient, neutral place - a quiet coffee shop or diner. Has the alum contacted you yet? Usually, he/she will let you know where what’s preferred: his home, her office, Starbucks, etc.

Good luck!
