Interview Attire

Hey everyone, I'm back a week away from my first of seven college interviews. I wanted to know your opinion on what to wear for an interview.

For my interview, I am thinking of wearing a blue oxford (no tie) and untucked, dark jeans, and nice brown dress shoes (I'm a male). Im thinking that I should change the jeans to pants but who knows? What do you think?

I would switch the jeans out for pants and otherwise think the shirt & shoes are perfect.

Will you be interviewing on campuses?

@CT1417 No I will be doing off campus interview. Is there a specific pants color that you think would work well with a light blue oxford and dark brown shoes?

Do you have just regular khakis? Or any kind of dress pants that students wear for band or chorus concerts?

I probably err on the side of over dressed so would wear shirt tucked in, belted, but sleeves rolled up. That may be more of a style choice than requirement though, so you may want to hear from someone a little less ‘preppy’.

Good luck with your interviews….and I am sure it goes without saying to leave your phone in your pocket on silence mode.

Where are you interviewing? If it’s at a Starbucks like mine was, you’re fine with jeans and an oxford shirt. If it’s at the interviewer’s office or something, I dress up a bit more.

At my interviews I just wore khakis, sperrys, and an oxford shirt
