I know there's been four billion threads on this, but does anyone have any advice on what I should wear to my interview? It's a 4pm after school interview at the guy's law firm. I'm a girl, btw. How dressy should I be? I was thinking nice black slacks and a sweater--is that a problem?

I wore dressy kakhi's (not exactly slacks, though) with a nice knit top, and high heels. but my interviewer specifically said that he didn't want it to be really formal and that he was a casual type guy, so not to dress up. I didn't want to make a bad impression though, so I still went kinda dressy.

I think what you plan on wearing is perfectly fine, as long as the rest of your appearance (hair, shoes, etc) is nice as well. Or, if it's at a law firm, I would suggest a pencil skirt and collared shirt, maybe, or a semi-nice dress. Shoes also say a lot about how you're dressed. Since it's right afterschool, though, I'm sure he knows you won't have time to run home and get dressed up.

jegan3--I'm an interviewer and it sounds perfect.
