Hello,

I just got called for an interview tomorrow night at Starbucks. I know different schools have different interview dress policies but I haven't been able to find Duke's anywhere. How should I dress (male)?

Thanks!

Hello,

I just got called for an interview tomorrow night at Starbucks. I know different schools have different interview dress policies but I haven't been able to find Duke's anywhere. How should I dress (male)?

Thanks!

business casual is usually recommended for interviews of this kind I would think.

i would say some kakis and and a polo....i remember mine was at a starbuck's and i wore dark wash jeans, but i'm a girl, and i think my interviewer was pretty lax

my interviewer said casual... and he must have meant very casual.

He showed up in Jeans a long sleeve shirt. I thoguht he meant business casual and wore khakis with a nice sweater (no tie), but then again, my interviewer seemed pretty insincere about the whole thing.

Ah, ok. Thanks everyone!

For my Duke interview, the interviewer said she was going to be meeting me "on the way from work". I figured that she would be pretty dressed up, even though we were meeting at a Starbucks. It turned out that she was wearing a suit, so I was glad to at least be wearing a polo and kakhis.

I don't think there's necessarily a dress code that Duke recommends for the interviews, but make sure you're wearing something decent. I don't think a suit and tie is necessary, since you might end up looking over-dressed, but I went with kakhis and a polo and I think it worked out well.
