I have been given by my interviewer the choice of either going before or after another candidate he will be interviewing this weekend. We would be going about an hour apart. Is it better for me to go first or second? I figure if I go second I'll be freshest in his mind, but if I go first I can get him to really like me and not liek the other candidate as much.

What do you guys think is best? Also, do you think he'll have to pick one of us as better than the other when he sends his stuff to admissions?

Aww. My friend and I have an interview with same interviewer this weekend. My friend's at 1:30, and mine is at 2:00. I'd rather go first, but oh well.

I'm thinking first, so I can try to set the bar high.
Do you think he's going to have to tell admissions who he thinks is better? Will he have to pick one of us?

This is a college alumni interview? It doesn't really matter, like, at all. He'll just submit a number, which will have a very small effect on your admission chances.

Stop worrying about the order... I'd venture a guess and say it doesn't matter. At all. It's not like you two are the only two candidates he'll ever have interviewed... he'll treat you both equally, you'll both have the same "standards", you'll both be more applicants among tens or hundreds he's done in his life. First/second is probably the least of your worries, just make it a good interview.
