When is the deadline for alumni interviews for incoming freshmen?

I have an interview next Friday so they’re still happening

Interviews are being offered by alumni and potentially over the phone with counselors. Because we are in the midst of reading applications, it can be tough to interview at this time, so counselors will not be able to accomodate many interview requests. I think it is best to call the office to inquire as to which would be the preferred option.

Dear MConklin,

Is an interview absolutely necessary? I’m sure there have been many applicants accepted who were not interviewed, right? Also, when do admissions decisions come out?

Interviews are recommended but not required. There are, indeed, students accepted every year who do not interview.

RD decisions are released no later than April 1. (In the past, some students have received decision as early as the first week of March with most of the rest of the decisions arriving around mid- to late March.)

thanks for the help!

Interviews are not required but are highly recommended. It is a great way for me as a counselor to get to know my applicants, and to put a face (or at least a voice!) to what is otherwise a computer screen. Of the current freshman class (those currently on campus), 70% of the students had interviewed as part of their admissions process.
