Interview..... Do I have To Bring A Resume?

Do I? And if so what do I include in my resume? I'm very clueless on how to write one. And at the interview do I ask the interviewer if they want to see it or only if they ask?
My friend says not to use the sample format thing on guidancedirect.com and if I'm desperate to use the feature on MS Word. Would that be ok?

Resumes help the interviewer a lot in organizing a way to conduct the interview.

Who cares about the format? Just make it clear.

Yes, resumes are always useful for getting the interview started and they help the interviewer remember details about your activities! The format doesn't really matter like Flippy said. You should definitely tell your interviewer that you brought along a resume- they will usually take a look at it at least.

I brought along some information to both my interviews, and both interviewers seemed to appreciate it. I also got the impression that I was one of the few people who did bring one. I would definitely offer the information as one of the first things you do.

Personally, I didn't want to raise expectations by calling it a resume, so I just said "I've prepared some information about myself."

Also remember that in many cases (both of mine) the interviewer knows nothing about you other than the fact you're applying, and maybe which school in the university you're applying to. A resume is particularly useful if you're a strong candidate and want to add some instant credibility right off the bat, impressing them with your scores/rank/awards, etc.

Bringing a resume shows you're somewhat professional and that you think the interview is important.

Thanks :)

The interview I have is required for all students and is on-campus. So does the interviewer not have any info on you when u go?

The most helpful site to help you write a Resume in High School is ECampusTours: High School Students Need a Resume Too - High School Resume
Just make sure it's clear and you label all parts such as Honors and Awards,Extracurriculars, Valuable Experience, Work History. On mine these headings were bold
Also if you're Resume is more than 2 pages you have too much information
keep it simple

There is no further help needed for her concerning the resume. I helped her with it a few days before. Her interviewer even complimented her on it.
