Last Thursday (October 26) I sent my Common-App via internet and I over-nighted my school forms and they arrived at Harvard the following day, October 27 at noon.

Today, being November 2, which is 6 days after Harvard received all of my materials, I got a call from a local attorney for an interview which will happen on Monday.

My question is, seeing as this happened in less than a week, do you think this may mean something? I mean, even though I sent my things in a week ago, Harvard received a recc. letter for me from a certain someone 3-4 weeks ago.

I think this means a local alumni finally found some time to interview you... its independant of whether or not harvard received ur stuff or not.

yea, if an alum contacts you early or late, that's usually in accordance with what is most convenient for them, and they'll try to contact you as soon as they can.

"a recc. letter for me from a certain someone"
Huh?
Maybe the question is -- Do you think the "certain someone" "may mean something" in admissions? And since no one here knows "someone," what are you trying to find out?

Harvard tries to interview every single applicant. It's no surprise that you're being contacted right after you get your app in. A friend of mine applied to Yale online a couple weeks ago and was called for an interview within a couple days.
