Interview Experience

I am thinking about setting up an interview for next week maybe as I hear Muhlenberg considers this factor in the process.
For someone who has been through it-
What are the questions like? Is it more formal or relaxed? Anything specific to be prepared to discuss?

Great idea! Muhlenberg, more then most other colleges, puts big value on getting to know prospective students. The interview is more relaxed and informal. To prepare for it I would visit their website, read whatever materials I could find on them. Talk with any former students you are friends with. Then build a list of questions that you have about the school. Are you interested in study abroad? What clubs, teams or ec’s are you currently involved in that you could picture yourself pursuing at Muhlenberg? What does your interviewer think sets Muhlenberg apart from other similar LAC’s? And then be prepared to answer questions about your interests and possible majors or minors, your passions, the things that you as an individual would bring to the Muhlenberg community. Relax, be yourself, and you will be fine. Best of luck to you!

Thanks! @beenthereanddone

@laughandlearn23. Did you end up interviewing? How did it go? Interviewing is a good thing at Muhlenberg. It shows your interest in the school and gives you the opportunity to show the school that you are more than what is written in your application.

@rdtjgk Yes I did interview. It went very well! It was casual, not too long, and the admissions person was super nice.

@laughandlearn23 Terrific! So glad to hear it. I remember my daughter had a very low key telephone interview. I think that helped her get into one of the honors programs.
