Interview for transfers

Hi, I just sent in my Part 2 of the application last week, but my Part 1 has been submitted since the beginning of January. Does anyone know when transfers are supposed to be contacted about an interview? Should I call up the admissions office and see what they have to say? Thanks.

I emailed them a while ago and they said that transfer interviews are scheduled in the spring.

If you think it will help your application or if you really want an interview, just keep bugging them for one; but it's not necessary for transfer students.

Um, I totally disagree with the above. You will certainly not make any friends by continuously "bugging them" for one. If they can give you an interview, they will. Otherwise, once they have said they can't, for the love of God leave them alone.

hey, im a freshman at g-town and i work in the admissions office. And just to let you guys know, it may be a while before you guys are contacted for an interview because we just started processing transfer apps. The admissions office defintely cares about freshman apps much more. I mean, I'm currentyl putting a transfer app on the system that has been here since December 11th! So, be patient guys and best of luck.

Thanks for the info jayson. I remember talking with a lady on the phone at the Admissions Office who said something about the ridiculous amount of freshman mail they had... oh and by the way if you want to click "admit" on my file we could work something out ;) haha

Hi - I was at Georgetown a couple weeks ago and talked to a Associate Director of Admissions. I asked him the same thing about the interviews and he said that I should expect to hear from someone around April. He said they try not to overwhelm the alumni and give them a chance to rest before going from freshmen to transfer interviews.

Hope this helps!

That helps alot SmileDarling, I know I would start to worry come end of March if I didn't have any clue about the info you just told me =)
