interview help

I received a letter from a college scholarship program that I applied for saying that they want to interview me. Their website says that applicants should have over a 3.9 GPA and a 1350 (on the old SAT scale). I have over a 3.9 GPA, but only a 1100 on the math and verbal portions of the SAT. Is it even worth going through the interview process? Can I assume that they are looking at the larger picture beyond just test scores since I put my SAT scores on the application? Thanks.

don't even think that. they chose you as a finalist for a reason. i am on the same boat; interview soon, low stats.

why question it when you have been given a chance? :)

seniors, I know someone who was an interviewer for a college. They did not tell those who were being interviewed upfront (so everyone feels like a winner) that anyone who interviewed for scholarships got one! There were different scholarship amounts, but if you showed up-you got something. Now that does not mean this is the case at the school who is interested in you, but you never know.

Also, my son received a merit award and did not meet the requirements listed, so you never know what will happen.
