<p>aha. i've got a story. (not a particularly great one, though)
they were conducting interviews in my area. i knew they were optional and never expected to get a call from them.</p>
<p>it turned out to be a fiasco for me: that day i got home from school, i received a postcard in the mail saying i "would be contacted within 3-4 weeks about an optional interview." it was a monday and i was tired and i had lots of work to do so i didn't think about it too much. then, a couple of hours later, a call came. i got up from taking an involuntary nap, picked up the phone and was completely thrown off by the offer of an interview (i didn't have time to think about it yet).</p>
<p>the alumna was impatient with me (i guess it was my bad reaction to the call =X) and in the end, out of nervousness, i declined her offer.
the next day, i realized my BIG mistake, so i called them and asked if i could get rescheduled for one. the man who answered asked me why i declined, i told him i was unprepared to receive the call and didn't have time to think it through and he said okay, he would tell them and they would call back to tell me the answer. he cautioned me that they may not be able to fit me in. (i think that would be unlikely as i see interviews are still going on.)</p>
<p>i never got a call back, and to me... i think i'm screwed for my chances of admission- it will certainly go on my record that i declined the offer. also was wondering for a while back there why they would not call back.
still, tried my best with the app.
