I had my interview September 25th with an unbelievably accomplished and competent alum, yet MYMIT does not show that the interview has been received. I followed up with a thank-you, and he made the comment that I was by far the most atypical student that he was ever interviewed, so he definitely knows who I am. Should I worry that the interview is not up yet? Or can I just assume that MIT Admissions is just unbelievably busy right now? (I am an EA candidate)

Call the admissions office and tell them your concern. That is quite a while; I do alum interviews for my college, not as techie as MIT, and I know the minute I hit send on the email report, the interview is in the system.

I have the same problem with one of my son's teacher recs. The teacher says she mailed it a week early, but the tracking does say to allow several weeks for mail items to be posted close to deadlines. I feel for you, my son interviewed exactly a month after you and it shows on tracking. Gotta love those former MIT fullbacks! I know you are expecting great stuff from the interviewer, but at least it is not a required component.

So the interviews are typcally not sent in all at once?
