I turned in my app b4 the deadline, and haven't received further info on a local interview yet. I think I read on their admissions site that I would be notified of the conact info on whom I should have my interview. (RD round)
Or do I have this all wrong?
Thanks!

i just got called about an hour ago. where do you live? i'm meeting some professor at caltech on tuesday. very little notice, but whatever. i wouldn't worry, they're a little slow this year...i'm really waiting for yale.

...most students who apply for freshman admission will be contacted by a member of a local Cornell alumni committee in the fall or winter.

So you will not necessarily be contacted. Either way, the interview holds almost no bearing on your chances of acceptance, so don't worry about it.

well, a friend of mine got called for one... He is a legacy, so might that be the reason he got called?
I'd like to meet and do this "interview" even though it doesn't have any bearing at all on the admissions

i would also like to have one, is there any way we can contact them...

i submitted on the deadline and some ppl i know already had interviews (so there's gotta be active cornell alumni here)... but.. wait... so somepeople don't get interviews? who gets them and who doesnt?

you shouldn't contact them and ask for one. the basis for who gets one and who doesn't is entirely at the will of scheduling and the enthusiasm of the alumni network in your vicinity.

I got called yesterday evening and set up a time.
