A local alum just called me last night about having an interview tomorrow. But it is really late. I thought that interviews were due by March 3rd or something like that. I accepted the interview of course. But, what does this mean? Is it that I'm right on the borderline?

I have a feeling that the main point of the interviews is to answer your questions about Princeton, but I certainly acknowledge that I am not an expert. Still, that's what most schools do.

It's actually pretty funny because I just had an interview today. My interviewer called me and said that he wanted to interview me on the phone. Basically I ended up conducting the whole thing in the car while I was being driven home from a doctor's appointment.

It was unexpected but it went very well.

hey, maguo1, cesare, where are u guys located? i haven't received any info about an interview and am getting kinda worried!

Guys, I had an alumni interview this past Sunday (March 5th). The woman told me that all reports were due to Princeton on the 6th. So, to satisfy this requirement, she told me that she would fax her report directly to the admissions office. I don't understand how your interviewers will be able to submit their reports on time, considering it's so late in the game...perhaps it's just a way for you to get to know Princeton a little better?

I dunno. I was just as surprised because I had just resigned myself to not having an interview. I don't think it was just a 'get to know Princeton' thing though - he asked me all sorts of questions ranging from "why Princeton" to "which word describes you best." The whole thing lasted for about an hour.

I live in Westchester County, New York.

I'm from Collier County, Florida. The wierd thing is that the other two kids at my school who applied didn't get an interview. I'm hoping it's not "get to know pton" type of interview, but more like "you're right on the border".

Here's an update:
I had my interview today, and it went well. I think that it was much more of an informational interview, although I didn't ask. The other two applicants from my school also got interviews which is why I think this is the case.

Hey, if it makes you feel good, and it should, at least it shows you are seeking admission to a univeristy with class!

I was resigned to not getting an interview. But I just received I call that I'll be getting a telephone interview. The person interviewing me is from a different city than the one where I live!

same with me, i had a phone interview from a guy in LA and I live about 6 hours north of San Francisco!
