Interview on this week means what? not rejected ?

I'v reveived a Cornell's alumni's voice mail today for conducting a interview on this week.

Is the interview goning to be made for all applicants? or for whom now still have a chance to made it in? I mean the deadline for applying is 1 month ago and now have the admission already selected some students?

It doesn’t mean anything as far as whether a decision has been made on your application. The deadline for submitting the alumni evaluation is 2/22. Sometimes it takes a while for alumni contacts to be assigned…especially if there are many applicants and only a few alumni volunteers. Not all applicants are contacted by an alum and not meeting with an alum will not hurt your application…although we do note if a meeting was declined (I hope I’m allowed to say that!)

Very few applicants will receive a decision from a rolling admissions school…and only those who were accepted will be notified. My advice: take the meeting with the alum.

I got mine today as well! I’m excited, I AM AWESOME IN PERSON! lmao and obviously humble!

A few of the people from my school were offered interviews but I wasn’t. Hm… I doubt I’m getting one now seeing as the deadline is less than a week away but hopefully it doesn’t mean much anyway.
