<p>It doesn’t matter that much, but it definitely counts even a little. Why would the adcoms waste all the time contacting alumni if it didn’t matter. Take the opportunity because there are tons of people who don’t get the chance and worry about it ( look at all the no interview threads) . There’s really no reason you shouldn’t unless you’re extremely busy ( its second semester senior year!!) or you are introverted/shy and feel that an interview would make your application seem worse.</p>
<p>Oh wow, I was just contacted today by an alumni who happens to be Nike’s director of strategic planning… oh, the places Princeton alumni go :D</p>
<p>But yeah, interviews count for something, but they probably won’t break an application.</p>
