i wrote a letter to the Chairman of the local Georgetown
Alumni Admissions Committee to arrange an interview for me... no response for weeks...should i write him another letter?

im so frustrated with the poor interview network... i donno what i can do, i dont want to get rejected bc i couldnt interview...

The interview, TMK, holds very little weight in the actual admissions process. I doubt it'll count much against you; the adcom is probably aware of the difficulty of logistics in terms of alumni interviews.

Stonecold, don't worry about it. When I hadn't heard from an interviewer, I too tried contacting the Chairmain (I looked up his number in the whitepages and actually called him!). And like you, I got no response. I then called Gtown's admission office and they confirmed that I was on the list to be interviewed. Only later did I get a call from my interviewer.

For what it's worth- my DD did have an interview....and it was horrible. The "alum" only went to Gtown for law, not undergrad, had never lived on campus and my D said that she seemed "genuinely disinterested" in the whole affair. Maybe Gtown should scrap the interview program if there is so much trouble with support.

yea my interviewer wasn't too great. She pretty much rushed me out of her house because her kids had playdates over, and the whole interview only lasted about i duno 20-25 min.

I've contacted 6 people about getting an interview and no one gets back to me!!! So I was just at Georgetown and the admissions person just had me email her about it and she put it in my file, so they know that I really tried to get an interview.
