Interview Preparation Advice

Hey I have my BU interview on Tuesday so I'm flying over there tonight, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on this interview such as potential questions, outfits, hints, etc. because I'm sure it'll be helpful to many of us here on this forum. Also if anyone is headed to BU on the 19th lemme know! haha

Most of my interviews are still coming up, so I can’t say much from personal experience. But the big things I’ve been hearing (which are also obvious things, but you never know) are honesty, professionalism, and confidence.

Good luck!

BigBDawg812 can you please post your interview experience?

When I interviewed for these programs I was very nervous and such but once you start it develops into a conversation. The college is not trying to burn you when they interview you but they want to find the most enthisiastic and movitated kids for there program. So when you interview be confident and seem like you want to be a doctor. Be prepared to answer questions such as WHy do u want to be a doctor? and What are your strengths and weaknesses? and Why did you choose our college? and some health care related questions relating to abortion and assisted suicide. Also remember to kno ur resume inside and out. Try to initiate the conversation. There programs want sharp kids and those who are very socially adept. Good Luck I hope this helped. The interview is not as bad as it seems so dont stress. But it does basically make or break you haha

Thank you baller2010. I talked with 2 doctors who did thier medical college in the accelerated path about the interview format. Their reply was exactly the same as you had stated.

I would also say don’t seem overconfident. These programs hate cocky kids. Also, try not to ramble. You need to be clear, and explain your answers a bit, but if you go on and on i can guarantee the interviewer will get bored and mark you down for it.
