I live in a country in which I need to contact the interview coordinator (I think that's what they're called) and give her information for her to assign me to an interviewer. I initially gave the coordinator my information in the beginning of January. When I didn't get an assignment I sent another e-mail at around Jan. 20th making sure she had my information. She sent back an e-mail that she indeed has it and that I will be assigned an interview in the coming weeks. Still haven't gotten an assignment.
I wanted to ask when the deadline for interview reports is, and also--what does it mean that it's taking so long for an interview to be assigned? probably that there are many applicants from my country this year? will this truly not have an effect on my candidacy if I don't eventually get an interview? On my supplement I wrote that I'm planning to have an interview and am "waiting for a response".

If you don’t eventually get an interview, it will have no impact on your admission. You should just send the admission office a note saying that you have not been contacted for an interview.
Email back if it takes longer than 2 weeks for your interview assigner to contact you. If still no response, contact the admission office.

My husband does a lot of interviews ,and captrick is right but if you do have it ,it is another piece of info to have in your application .It gives you that chance to shine !!
