I keep reading that interviews are essential for Rochester. By intern interviews, do you just mean the alumni ones that we can set up via MYROC, or is there something else? If so, how do I set up the other one? Also, when should I sign up for the alumni interview is applying RD?

First of all, interviews are not “essential” for UR. (Helpful, yes; essential, no.) Every year, many students do not interview, and are still admitted.

There are on campus interviews conducted by admission staff, off-campus interviews conducted by admission staff and off-campus interviews conducted by alumni. All of them are (AFAIK) are weighted equally.

You can request an interview for any time that’s convenient for you. The interview should be completed before March 1 if you want the interview report to be considered when the admission committee is weighing your decision.

@WayOutWestMom, thanks so much!
