Interview Question

I've literally just decided to apply to MHC, and unfortunately because of this last-minute decision, am unable to interview. Will this significantly decrease my chances?

Stats:
GPA: 95.67 U, 98.89 W/4.0 U & W
ACT: 28, but I'm not submitting it
APs: 6 total. Currently I have two 5s and two 4s.
ECs: Marching Band (section leader), Yearbook (editor), Literary Magazine (treasurer), Girl Scouts (12 years), NHS, Art Honors Society, Pit Orchestra, and Jazz Band. I probably forgot some.

I have good recs, plus an additional art rec that is quite amazing.

I'm practically kicking myself for not visiting MHC when my mom and I drove up to Smith a month ago. :|

No. But why not ask for an alumna interview?

[Meet with an Alumna :: Admission :: Mount Holyoke College](http://www.mtholyoke.edu/admission/alumna.html)

Your ACT is fine and within the mid 50%. You might consider submitting it.

Ooh, I totally forgot about alumna interviews! Hopefully I’m not too late…

As for the ACT, my family is short on money at the moment, so I really don’t want to bother my mother with more college fees, as we still need to pay for numerous CSS Profiles. :|

I emailed MHC and they said the last day for an interview was Jan 20
I do not know if they meant alumna or office interview…

Actually, I scheduled an alumna interview for tomorrow. It’s my first alumna interview (my other three were all done on campus), so I’m a tad nervous.

Don’t be nervous…I do these kinds of interviews for another school and I do everything possible to make the candidate feel at ease. They are not out to trick you or intimidate you…my advice, relax and be yourself. Good luck!

The interview was wonderful! My almuna was really nice, and told me to keep her posted on where I get accepted, and where I choose to attend. We talked about the other schools that I was applying to, and she had good things to say about all of them, which was really nice. =D
