Interview questions

i have an interview today with two other applicants at a local coffee place…really informal. i was just wondering if anyone knew what kinds of questions they asked, or any tips? thankssss

There is no set list of questions; every interview/interviewer will be different.

Relax, have fun; it's just a conversation. If you have specific questions about Brown, it is a good opportunity to ask them.

did the interviewer contact you or vice versa?

I'm almost as nervous about college interviews as I am SAT scores! What are some examples of questions I should prepare myself for?

Why Brown? That's bound to come up, seriously.
What subject do you like to study the most? Naturally...
And expect every response of yours to be followed up with "Why?" That's when the going gets tough. Don't try to misrepresent yourself and get away with it. I nearly did, and it came very close to disaster.

They'll definitely ask you if you have any quesions about the school. Make sure to prepare some intelligent questions in advance. Here's a hint: if you could find the answer on Brown's website, it's not a good question. Try to ask about your interviewer's personal experience at Brown. You'll get more out of the interview that way. Also, if you ask questions that make it sound like you've done your research about the school, they'll have the impression that you're a serious applicant.
