I am trying to request an interview, but what exactly do I put in the 250-word blanks that are a part of the request form? Thank you in advance.
Bump! I was wondering the same thing! For anyone not familiar with the interview form, it asks for “Academics”, “Extracurricular Activities”, “Current Courseload”, “Why UR?”, and “Additional Info/Comments”. Some of these are self-explanatory, but academics seems like a very broad category that could be a lot of different things. There are no explanations for any of the categories on their site.
This may seem like a weird question, but for some reason I can not find a tab through which I can select an interview request in my myroc account. Do I need to email my admissions counselor, or how do I request it? (Asking here, because you guys seem to have gotten much farther than me)
bump! Wondering the same thing, if anyone can help that’d be great! Deadline in jan 31st…
@Misvaldai log into your myROC account and you should be brought to a homepage (if not press home on the left sidebar) on the top there’s a spot where you can click Alumni Interview and another link should show up (it’ll be something like click here to request an interview)
There should be a spot to request an alumni interview, as @darkangel3541 said. For the form, just answer the questions honestly. Whatever you write there will be made available to your interviewer to read (the interviewer has their own portal they communicate with you through until they’re comfortable with giving more contact info). Mine had brought printouts with him with sections he wanted to discuss highlighted.
thanks @helpless2017. How was your interview?
@darkangel3541 It was pretty great - we met in a Starbucks in the evening on a weekday, and it definitely felt more conversation style than evaluative. My interviewer seemed to genuinely love Rochester (and had really interesting stories from when he was a student there), and it really showed.
@helpless2017 awesome thanks! good luck with everything
