@modest: Actually I am from Suffolk County, wow that’s crazy! Does that mean that I’ll probably get a phone interview?

I would think you’ll get a phone interview at best.

I’ve had 4 people added in the last 2 days and I’m from Nassau. LI is loving Brown right now.

Oh wow. LI really is loving it. Does that mean it’ll be ultra super competitive for LI this year?=/

It seems like its going to be super competitive for everywhere. LI doesn’t seem like its going to be the best place to be if you want to be accepted to Brown though.

I think it all depends on where you live and when you apply. We live in DC. There are a ton of interviewers in this area. S applied in October and got a call from his interviewer in 10 days. And btw I would say his interview with her was the highlight of his application process. He loved her and the school even more after their meeting. He thought she was smart, funny and really engaged him. They met for 2 hours. His Yale interview went well too but the vibe and his reaction was radically different. His YALE interviewer ended the meeting by saying, “You’re great I’m sure you’ll get into all your school, but Yale is different…” LOL.

I applied mid-December, still haven’t heard anything. I know there are alumni in the area b/c my friend’s mom interviews for Brown, but she can’t this year because he is applying. I’ve gotten interviews at two other schools, but Brown seems to be lacking. Also, I’ve gotten interviews for places and other people haven’t been contacted by the same schools. Why is that?

An interviewer just contacted me today. Its been about 16 days since I submitted my application. By the way, I live in ETHIOPIA. I had no idea a personal interview was possible in Africa so I was really shocked when he contacted me. So what now? should I like practice or something? I don’t want to walk in the interview room not knowing what to expect. What do you recommend I do?
