<p>I check this website so frequently throughout the day. It’s just so fun talking to other applicants seeing as I’ve only told two other people aside from my family that I’m applying for BS. </p>
<p>Quite a few of my friends know that I’m applying, but they just can’t seem to grasp the concept of applying to a BS. They all say things like “Why would you even want to go to a boarding school?” Some people just don’t get it.</p>
<p>Tell em it’ll be Hogwarts without magic. </p>
<p>@fluffymilk Same here. The two friends I have told looked at me incredulously asking why I did. It seems to be a misconception that it’s more of a punishment if you were thinking of the portrayal numerous movies do on it. </p>
<p>Most people I told last year thought it was super awesome. A minority thought comparable to jail. </p>
<p>If only. My friend started getting super psychological with it. </p>
<p>I do have two friends who are also applying to BS’s (thankfully not the same ones I’m applying to) so at least I can obsess over and vent to them about everything. Everyone else just thinks that BS’s are full of preppy rich kids and nothing else. </p>
<p>Eh they’re somewhat correct. There are a lot of them, but there’s quite a few of the non-preppy type as well. </p>
