<p>Does MIT accept interviews scheduled for the coming 9th? Or would it be pointless and we should just cancel it? By the way, I did originally contact my EC before the deadline.</p>
<p>I think the guy who interviewed my son said that the paperwork had to be in by the 6th (?), but if your EC has scheduled the interview for the 9th and you contacted that person before the deadline, I would definitely NOT cancel it. I would imagine that MIT would accept the interview since you are not at fault for its lateness. Also, it may not even be past their deadline.</p>

<p>Mikalye has mentioned that the interview deadline was the 6th, but MIT is typically pretty flexible. I don’t see the point in canceling the interview – the worst case scenario is that MIT won’t consider the interview because it’s late, but it doesn’t represent a huge time investment on your part.</p>

<p>The deadline is absolutely the 6th. However, with some notice, MIT will accept late interview reports in certain circumstances. I interviewed a candidate this morning. MIT knew about that. Heck, I have one interview, with very extenuating circumstances, yet to SCHEDULE. MIT knows about that one too.</p>
