Is there a best way to handle the thank you note for the interview at corporate headquarters? I imagine a handwritten one seems better, yet it takes so long to get there and perhaps they will make a decision before they recieve it. Any advice?

A handwritten one is not better because it's a hassle. You're not in a position of power so don't try to be cute, just e-mail them.

Handwritten notes are better. Emails get lost in the shuffle and get looked over. A handwritten note is more memorable and is more likely to stand out. To each his own.

I handwrite 'thank you' notes to any school, company, internship possibility and/or recommendation author. Sure it takes time, but it's a classy thing to do.

You can screw it up if it sounds generic, though. I write something that I actually remember about an interview, person, blah blah. Make it personal.
