Interview thank-you

<p>I had two very fantastic interviews (my only two interviews, both alumni, amazing people <3) mid-week and I was planning to send thank you notes but haven't gotten around to that. I was just wondering what people exactly say in thank you notes, except the generic I had a good interview (or do I say I had a good meeting- because it felt more like a friendly meeting than an interview)... or is weird to send them "thank-you"s after 4 days... I know I forgot to say a whole bunch of stuff during the meeting, but I did give them very detailed CV/resumes so I don't think its necessary to reiterate anything on my part.</p>

<p>Any suggestions? Perhaps from interviewers?</p>

<p>A thank you is recommended, and referring to something they say if it has impacted you is a nice add on. Even just a simple, I enjoyed meeting with you and learning more about______.</p>

<p>i wrote like this. I thanked him for the interview told him what i learned through the interivew.</p>

<p>"Thank you very much for taking the time to meet with me. I really enjoyed our conversation, particularly the story you told about how you once shot an elephant in your pajamas on your trip to Africa. I have no idea how he got into your pajamas. The information I was able to get about Harvard was very useful and makes me want to go there even more. Thanks again."</p>

<p>I know there are interest sites to help you write your college essays. Maybe they need one for writing thank-you notes.</p>

<p>this was my thank you note.
Hi. I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to interview me and write a report. I really felt that the interview helped me know about myself. I had thought about myself while I was writing my essays but had missed some things about myself. During the interivew, I realized things what lay under my consciousness. Even though I had been living alone for some time, because of my routine schedule I was never fully aware of the chores and their effects on me. I did the dishes and cleaned the house, but those were just some things I did as part of life. I felt that this was a good opportunity to reassess myself and think about my future. Thank you for your great interview and I hope to see you as a Yale student.
Thank you
Sincerely,</p>
