so a Cornell alumnus' contacted me for an "optional informal admission meeting". Even though it's been said this is not an evaluative interview, how should I treat it? What do I need to do to prepare for it? and how much preparation??
I'm usually quite good with interviews, i.e. my job interviews
but I'm still somewhat nervous and uncertain about this one.
any input would be greatly appreciated. :)

Dont be uncertain. Research the school with regards to the area surrounding your major. Be prepared to ask questions, and be relaxed and composed. There is nothing to be nervous about! :)

bring a copy of your resume and give it to them at the beginning of the interview. it should give them something to talk about and will make the interview go very easily. people have said that they aren't evaluative but if you impress them and they write a good recommendation for you it can't hurt. they will ask you a standard set of questions. i used to have a copy of the directions given to alumni for the interviews, i'll see if i can find it.

thanks~
I think I feel pretty good~~
"confidence" is my middle name :P
