So my interview at Deerfield and Berkshire are this friday and I'm really nervous! Can anyone tell me the kind of questions they ask and any tips on how to do the interview?
THanks

Don’t be nervous. You’ll receive a warm welcome at both schools and it will be a lot of fun seeing everything they have to offer. If you have questions above and beyond all the literature you’ve already read- ask away! The important thing is to smile, relax and just be yourself. Piece of cake.

Those are two wonderful schools and you’ll be in good hands. Good luck!

I guess it would take about 2 hours of drive from Deerfield to Berkshire. I hope you take that into account when arranging the interviews. It takes, in many cases, a little longer than expected time at one school due to extra time of waiting, etc.

Regarding your interview, I would recommend you to be relax and yourself. You are not a professional in the job interview. Everyone gets nervous and you are not alone.

You may also be asked why you missed a little too many classes at current school and you would need to give them convincing answers. I am not suggesting you make up the answer. But try to deliver your candid answer in a proper way. For example, don’t sound like you criticize your current school for its lack of more challenging classes for you.

Practice a two-minute “why I am a good match for this school” including what you can contribute to the community. This is challenging because to most applicants it feels like it is bragging, but it is not. Practice.

Research some subjects, sports, clubs or professors you are specifically interested in at each school, and mention it during the interview - this shows you are serious and have done your research.

Smile, make eye contact, practice shaking hands.
