<p>Hi, my son has an interview at Wake this summer- any tips? What sort of questions do they ask? Should he bring anything? Is it nerve-wrecking? (He is a nervous sort) Any help would be greatly appreciated!</p>
<p>I say bring his resume, copy of app etc. Not for the interviewew but for himself to refresh memory and to have just in case. Have some really good questions ready and read all about the school from avariety of srouces.</p>
<p>He should be prepared to answer questions such as why he's interested in attending Wake, what has been his biggest challenge so far, etc. Just have him take a deep breath before the interview and have fun!</p>
<p>Interview him yourself...seriously...it really helps...ask questions, have him walk in the room jsut like an interview...</p>

<p>My son found that interviews were not at all stressful - the interviewers enjoy talking to young people and aren't looking to put the kid on the spot. </p>
<p>Here's my list of tips:</p>
<p>-- Be prepared! Look through the college website/guidebooks before hand. Come up with a list of questions you want to ask about the school - I guarantee the interviewer will say "Do you have any questions for me?" at some point. Having the questions ready beforehand will help any nervousness. Several of your questions should show that you have done your research about the school and already know something about it.</p>
<p>-- Start the interview out by firmly shaking the interviewer's hand and making eye contact. I am amazed how many teenagers can't do this. </p>
<p>-- My son was always asked "What other schools are you applying to?" My son would rattle off a few schools that were similar to the school at which he was interviewing.</p>
<p>-- Be prepared to talk enthusiastically about yourself - your favorite courses, teachers, extracurriculars. This should be easy! </p>
<p>-- Write a short thank you note or email after the interview.</p>
