Interview Tips

why don't we make a list of interview tips/how to succeed at them?
and not just college interviews. any interviews. for jobs. for a summer program. for NHS. etc.

I'll start off.
1. speak clearly and confidently.
2. don't brag/ be humble. but don't be afraid to talk about achievements.
3. smile
4. wear nice attire
5. no gum
6. say thank you, manners, etc.

When you greet them shake their hand and introduce yourself if the situation permits.

If they seem cool, try and bring some humor into the situation. My Dartmouth interviewer was really cool and we just talked for like 45 minutes. Most importantly don’t worry about it.

prepare beforehand, do your research on wherever you’re applying and come prepared with questions

look/be excited about what you’re going to do

be both modest and honest.

I think you should only be humorous if you’re normally a funny guy. like normally im not funny, im really laid back, so i would prob fail epicly in my attempt to be humorous durig an interview.

Yeah I guess I should have qualified that by saying don’t try too hard and fail

anyone seen America’s Next Top Model-do the “eye smile” it makes you look really interested

When I try that it looks like I’m giving the evils.
