I have an informal interview tomorrow at the college campus and I was wondering if I should bring my resume or not. I just got a letter in the mail detailing where and what time my interview is; there was no mention of what I should bring or who my interviewer is. Thanks!

There’s no harm in having one – you can offer it and see if they want to look at it.

If you have one take it. I’d keep it in my purse and let them know it is available rather than just handing it over. If it is informal then likely they don’t need it, but if you offer they may accept.

“in your purse” sounds kind of crumpled to me. I would carry a manila folder (or some kind of neat folder or folio) with two copies. One for the interviewer, and one for you to refer to if they ask questions or you want to highlight something.

Definitely bring your resume. It provides a good/fast way for the person you speak to to see your statistcs/interests// experience etc. and is a great jumping off point for a conversation.

@BrownParent @Tanboyrunfast @intparent @happy1 Alright, I guess I’ll bring one just in case and keep it close by in case they want to look at it. Thanks again!

Don’t wait until they ask for it (they likely won’t as not everyone has one)…at the start of the interview, let the interviewer know you have a resume and ask if he/she would like a copy.

I agree…bring a resume. It gives the interviewer something to look at. Just say “I brought a resume if you would like to see it.”
