i am ashamed.... i am a disgrace to the princeton forum

but i'm working on it!!!!!

Ahhh mine is in an hour and a half!! Wish me luck, too! :)

good luck to btlesgirl too!!!

by the way btlesgirl, your post rate is even more pathetic than mine lol

i can't wait to hear about these interviews!!! :D

good luck btlesgirl!! =)

kraor--that's because I joined in June but didn't really post anything until October. Probably if it was just October-now it would be like 20 posts a day or something!!
Thanks, guys! :D

i had my interview a couple hours ago. it lasted 2 hours and i thought it went VERY well. all these interviewers seem very enthusiastic about princeton. i wish you the best of luck btlesgirl...the interview was actually kinda fun!

wow congrats def on that longass interview, i guess he liked you a lot.

teehee I'm glad it went well for you Def890!!

thanks guys...he spent a lot of time talking about how he screwed up his freshman year by taking organic chem...he touched a lot on the social scene at princeton, how half of the eating clubs are elitist but the other half is great, how going to philadelphia and new york is necessary to stay alive...he also touched a bit on admissions because i asked him just how important the SAT really is...he told me as long as you're in the 90th percentile for everything, it doesnt matter...he told me they use the SAT as a sort of "check" or "no check" thing...basically if you have SATs in range they just say "check, lets move on to the other parts"...but if its "no check", then the SAT will work against you

YES that's exactly what my interviewer told me about the SATs also and it's what I've been trying to convey to all the SAT obsessed people over here.
I've been hearing that for years from my counselors.

I've become sooo self-conscious of my 2230 because of CC lol.....

Just came back from my interview! It was really great, a little more than an hour long (which was just the right length, I thought). I really only got to talk about 1 EC-the student newspaper-and even that wasn't the most important part of the discussion. We talked about some classes, some teachers, why I like Princeton, and about her experiences at Princeton. She basically asked me 1 big question besides little "prompter" types while I was talking, and I basically asked her 2 questions (why did you choose Princeton and how has it changed since you've been there). It was just a really casual conversation-- no notes, no current affairs grilling, no pressure! For those of you who have not had interviews yet, (and I know this has been said before) DON'T WORRY! They are SO not a big deal and not worth stressing over. But, all the same, I'm glad I'm done with mine! :)

yay i'm happy your interview went well for you. =)

yeah exactly the same thing happened to me: very casual, no current affairs, just a good discussion.

i feel sorry for the kids who got the current affairs drill hahaha

awesome! congrats, btlesgirl!!

yeah mine was really low-key too. all about princeton and no scary questions.

ahhh, mine is tomorrow! I'm so nervous!!!

My interviewer's first interview was with me and she had no questions for me, not even like why Princeton. She was a physics major (I'm English) and essentially I had to come up with questions to ask her to make it less awkward. I've had six interviews so far and this one was far and away the worst one. It was only 25 min. I feel like I was jipped out of an interview, and I need it cos my stats are mediocre.

JUST HAD AN AWESOME INTERVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!! YAHOOO!!!!! W000000T W0000000T!!!!!!

ok, so it was in starbucks, right across from P'ton. BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF NASSAU HALL, P'TON'S most attractive building. we talked for about an hour, and it was really engaging. we talked about all sorts of things, and she jotted down notes to mention in the report(is that normal?) But the interviewer was AWESOME!!!!! we talked about everything from my interest in P'ton to the ethics of embryonic stem cell research. weird thing, though. in the middle of our conversation, this girl came over asking us to donate money for some cheerleading thing. i donated some money(not that i felt any pressure) but it was just an awkward position to be in. the interviewer donated some money too.

heres the funny thing. we were both sitting down on separate tables waiting for each other for like 10 min or something. she saw my P'ton shirt and came over lol. INTERVIEWS are a great EXPERIENCE! not just to give a good impression of you, but to ask someone who's already had the P'ton experience and get a really good sense of what it's really like. totally engaging and pleasant conversations. :)

good luck to anyone who still his/her interview!
btw, if u didn't get contacted yet, don't fret. a lot of ppl still haven't been contacted so far.

YOu wore a Princeton SWEATSHIRT? Why? I thought you had to be more formal, but obviously you were going for the "enthusiastic" look...not a bad idea. THoughts on this, anyone?

P'ton T-shirt actually.

but had something over it :)
oh, and khakis

Just came back from mine! It went totally fine, not amazing like some people
have been saying, but not dreadful either. It lasted just over 1/2 hour, and we talked about a bunch of random topics, didn't go into anything too deep. She didn't ask me anything about current events or early decision... it was very laid-back. I don't think it's going to influence their decision either way: the only beneficial thing it would add to my app would be focus on my "internationality" (I grew up in many different countries), which she said she will emphasize in her report. But I really liked my interviewer; good luck with all of yours!
