Interview/Tour.

I emailed Exeter, Deerfield, Andover, and SPS yesterday and I heard back from Exeter and Deerfield today. I asked if a tour was necessary, and Deerfield didn't really answer my question. They just said wait until you know your travel plans, and call us as soon as possible if it's in October, because that's the first month to fill up. Exeter said a tour wasn't necessary, and I could set up an interview with an Exeter graduate in my area.

Will not showing up for a tour and interview on campus affect my chances?

I really want to have a tour and interview in person, but due to time conflicts, I can't. (as of now).

JK imo the best case scenario would be to tour the campus and interview with the current admin staff. Of course there are financial considerations. Good Luck!

It won't really affect your chances since they know that many kids live too far away. They certainly don't expect international kids to tour. Everyone was suprised that I flew out from Colorado to tour a bunch of schools. If you don't tour I do recommend that you visit the campuses sometimes to get the feel of them. I wound up crossing about 3 schools off of my list because I knew that I wouldn't be as happy at those schools.

I live in Michigan. It's not that far away, but my family doesn't have the time to spend three days out there.

Johnathan K., have you ordered the viewbooks yet from these schools? Or are you waiting for the latest/this years ones to come out?

I've ordered a lot of viewbooks last year, but the application didn't come. (except from SPS) I emailed all the school's and Deerfield, Andover, and Exeter said they would send one in September and SPS said the one from last year is valid.
