Ok, so I've got an interview in Missouri at the beginning of February. I've been told to dress business professional. My problem is, what type of shoes should I wear? Typically I'd just wear heels with whatever slacks or skirt I wore, but I'm also going to be taking a tour of the school, outside, potentially in snowy weather. That would require snow boots or something right? I'm from Texas, so snow wear is a mystery to me..please help!

Check the temperature + weather conditions for the date you’ll be visiting (a few days in advance) and pack accordingly. Go with the slacks, wear a coat, and pack two pairs of shoes (1 for inside while interviewing, 1 pair to change into for touring, depending on the conditions).

Good luck at your interview!

Thank you! Hopefully it won’t be too terribly cold…I just wasn’t sure if it was acceptable to change shoes or not, thanks for the advice!

No problem! And haha, tour guides are usually college students, and I don’t think they’ll be taking notes about your shoe choice. They just want you to be interested/like their school, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

If possible just wear comfortable warm shoes and pack a pair of heels. Although, any school that is used to cold/snowy weather will be understanding about weather appropriate shoes even if the shoes aren’t exactly business attire. Because I live in a snowy place, I have showed up to multiple interviews wearing Uggs.
