Interview Weight?

How much weight do interviews at Georgetown carry? I had an incredible interview, and solid stats across the board, and was wondering if a really great interview could give that extra push for an acceptance or if it was just used to weed out psychos?

I think it is a little bit of both. If you are on the border, it can push you forward. On the other hand, if you have a terrible interview, it won’t destroy your chances, but it won’t help you either.

I’ve read comments from alums saying they were irritated that their opinions from interviews didn’t have more weight. One alum said the student they gave the highest recommendation didn’t get in, and the student he gave the lowest recommendation did get in.

Many colleges view interviews more as marketing to students.

I’m hoping Gtown’s admission process is more holistic b/c my interview was great! fingers crossed

^same here! my interview was amazing! hopefully we get good news…

i had the biggest DISASTER of an interview, but I still got in, so I literally think it’s VERY LITTLE
