Hi! so i’m about to schedule my interview for vanderbilt and my brother is one of the few alumni interviewers, would it wrong to request as interview with him? I looked up the other people online and they were all sorta old (didnt think id have that much in common with them) I already know sooo much about vanderbilt, would it hurt my chances if i just didnt have an interview?
Don’t take my word for it but I believe that most colleges would disallow that since it could lead to bias.
If it were me, I would schedule it with someone else. You know, meet new people and learn new things by having an interview with someone older. In the workplace, you’re definitely going to have to interact with different people.
yeah i figured it prob wouldnt be allowed, I guess i’ll just arrange an interview with the other option
Definitely not OK. Interview with someone else to show interest in the school.
