Interview with Non-Admissions Staff

My child interviewed a few weeks ago with a teacher who isn't a part of the Admissions Staff. He feels that the interview went well, but I can't help but wonder if this will significantly decrease his chances of getting in. Does anyone know if this makes a difference?

It makes no difference. Schools often use trained faculty members to do official admissions interviews.

As an example, our S interviewed with an alum at a Starbucks in the town where we live (2,500 miles away from the school). Made no difference. Don’t lose any sleep.
