<p>I submitted my application before New Year's but I have not been contacted for an interview. On the interview page, it says that alum interviews are conducted up to Jan. 15, which is almost here (I probably won't be able to visit). </p>
<p>I called APAP and the message said that phone reservations for an interview cannot be made. So I just wanted to make sure that if you want to interview with an alum, you cannot schedule it yourself but you must wait for an alum to contact you. Is this true? </p>

<p>I’m not sure how it’s supposed to work, but this is how it went for my son. He had originally completed the supplement and indicated that he was applying Regular Decision. After visiting, he was seriously considering (and ultimately did) changing that to Early Decision, but had some questions that he felt an alum could address in an interview. I called the alumni office for him, and they indicated that everyone who was regular decision was on a list to be interviewed by an alum on the same day at the same location and that invitation would be coming soon. However, since it that date was after the ED date, they were able to arrange for an alumni interview locally before he had to file his ED app. So, I would suggest calling again and finding out when that “day” is scheduled in your area. If for some reason you are not on the list, you might want to request another interview or at least a phone interview so that you can have any questions answered!</p>
