Interview

what kinds of questions should I ask?

I didn't ask any questions...don't know if that made them think badly of me.
Oh my gosh, I'm so keyed up now!! Only on a message board like this could people understand how exciting/nervewracking it is to tell people why you want to serve your country.
My interviewers were really nice - it was like they really wanted to give the benefit of the doubt for everything - they were ALL ARMY even though the Congressional aide told me all the academies would be represented. They were like "So why Navy over Army?" hehehe hope I didn't bomb that one.
Hmm I don't want to give too many of the questions away, since that really seemed to be part of the experience, but in my case they asked about several things that were listed on my application - sports, a gifted camp that I attended, and drum majoring.
Then they asked a question TOTALLY out of left field. All I can say is, thank goodness my brother did a report on a certain general in 4th grade!! Because that was totally where my answer came from.

Good luck to all you...I hope we all have success in whatever interviews are to come.

I just had my interview yesterday and they had Naval Academy, West Point and Air Force Academy graduates on the panel. One was a flight pilot in WWII, one USNA Graduate of 1978 and another a pretty recent graduate. They were primarily interested in my leadership role and sports. I asked a couple of questions at the end and they were for the most part very generous and helpful.

I had my congressional interview and I think it went amazing. They asked me why I wanted to go to the navy, what branch of the navy I wanted to go into, and then a lot of questions about my interests and activities. They also asked me what other colleges I was applying to. It went really great. Thanks for your help everyone!
