i was called for an interview...and i have a few questions.

the ambassador said it was informal, and that's about all she said...
i'm not really nervous but anyone got any tips or suggestions?

secondly, how much does the interview play into the admissions process? have the representatives to cornell seen my application and therefore would ask questions related to it?

lastly, what do they ask/talk about?! academics, non-academics, life in general, current events?

replies appreciated.

quickly, what school are you applying to? the interviews vary from college to college.

Hello,
Which school did you apply to? Did you apply for Early Decision? What are your stats?

Hello,

My son applied to Architecture program-ED. Interview is required for Architecture. The Alumni who interviewed him was very nice according to my son. They seemed to click right away - my son was prepared to answer Architecture related questions - architects that he likes/why/styles/influences etc... The interviewer even gave some tips to my son on how to submit his art portfolio, which is also required for the program. My son had taken only a few originals of his artwork and the interviewer asked my son to send him the remaining pieces of his artwork. My son mailed a CD of his artwork.

My son's stats are not that great though. He has a 2030. GPA 3.9. He is National Merit Scholarship commended. National Art Honor Society member. He is also involved in a few other clubs. An Eagle Scout. Has recd a couple of awards from boy scouts.

My son is really bent on getting into Cornell. I hope he makes it.
