Yay, i finally got an interview. Next thursday, 4*00. My interviewer is a lawyer in Ft. Myers, Pete Burkert.

Looking at this, advice, opinions? It will be at his office.

I’ll get deeper into this when i’m awake.

this has gotta be the 10th thread about interviews...
not that i'm saying this is bad! i just think it's funny that everyone creates their own thread once they get an interview - no one wants to be a thread hijacker i guess. good for you guys! lol. well, i'm still waiting anxiously to have one, so i totally envy you all.

good luck, 26e, with your interview! i'm sure you'll do great - you seem to have a great sense of humor ^_^ just make sure you're awake during your interview too...

I have mine in an hour and a half! Good luck to the both of us!!

Don't worry if he has to leave suddenly if an ambulance drives by.

seems to have gone well....best of luck....hope ye (nay, we) get in crosses fingers

Any ideas on what to expect? What to wear? Most people seem to have gone out to get a cup of coffee or whatever. Mine's in a law office. Plus, for Krabble, y'all suggested khaki's and a sweater. I have to deal with florida weather down here, so a sweater is out. Plus, I only own shorts and tracksuit pants, so I'll prob have to buy khaki's to do the interview. Also, it's a little weird for me that my interviewer is a personal injury lawyer....idk

advice, comments appreciated

Since it's in his office, you should wear dress pants, khakis or chinos, a collared shirt and loafers or equivalent.

is a suit over the top? or a suit without the jacket? cuz thats all i have...

i agree with audiophile on the wardrobe. a suit seems a bit too much.

you only own shorts?? it never gets cold in florida?? maybe i'm just sensitive to cold out here in cali....

GOOD LUCK!!! ^_^

i used to have jeans, but i hate them, and then i lost them. I had khakis, but on my trip to nashville i found out they had holes and a chlorine stain.....and my family & I have ZERO money, so I'm gonna go awhile before i get new clothes

26e,

Is it obvious your pants are from a suit? If not, then just wear them with a sports shirt and dress shoes.

idk....they're black, and are really fancy (at least for people of my income level)

Any of your friends the same size as you?

i have no friends.................

......in my size

^ I knew you'd get an interview!

I'd really invest in a pair of khakis; they'd be well worth it for other occassions as well. If not, I'd just go with the pants from your suit and a dress shirt. It can't hurt; it'll just look like you made an effort because you're such a mature young man!

You'll be fine......after all, you're cool as a cucumber

anyone ever wonder why it's "cool as a cucumber"? why not "cool as cream"? or something else??

don't mind my musings...

lol, I have no idea, but I must admit, cucumbers are pretty cool.

sea cucumbers scare me...

^they're GROSS!!!!!!

apologies to 26e for this monster of a topic I've created, lol.

i totally agree!!!! that's why they scare me!! we had an opportunity to pet one, but i was like shudder "no thanks"

me too - sorry 26e for stealing your thread. *everyone divert your attention back to 26e's upcoming interview!

yes....the attention MUST be focused on ME ;)
