interview

Has anyone been contacted about their ED alumni interview? On the website it says that if you are not contacted before Nov. 15th, then you can contact Brown yourself to set it up. I was wondering if anyone had been contacted, and if so, whether it was by telephone, email, or regular mail.

My interviewer called the day of the interview (happened last friday, in fact) at 8:00 AM, and it took place at about 11:00 AM and ran to 12:30 PM.

mine called saturday, finished it today

If you aren't contacted before November 15th, does that mean you won't be contacted at all, and you have to take the initiative to get an interview?

yeah, i think so. it said something along those lines in the brown viewbook.

I'm applying regular decision, and I was called by my interviewer on Saturday. My interview is on Friday at a local Coffee Bean. Any tips on questions or the average length of a Brown interview?

Coffee shop interviews can often run about an hour to an hour and a half. You might even get free coffee out of it (if you both go up to order something, try to pay for your own, but if they insist, let them pay). Isn't that nice?

An hour and a half? I don't know if I can talk about myself for that long. But I'll have to go cancel my tennis lesson then, because it doesn't look like I'll make it in time.

Do you think that a coffee shop interview is looser/more relaxed than a office interview? The last interview I had was with a lawyer; this lady is a massage therapist.

Insist on paying for the massage.
